Bio-Magnetics Ltd (BM) has developed Combinatorial Magnetic Separation (CMS), a technology that allows the user to select and move any combination of desired magnetic pins into the standard 96 or 384 well plates. The user can then pick and transfer any selected group (or individual or all) of the wells chosen from the matrix and then process them.

There are many applications with Magnetic Separation (MS), including DNA Magnetic Separation. Older and less versatile methods of MS are being utilized today, and CMS technology allows for the use & re-use of reagents and target samples in an extremely efficient manner with the standard 96 or 384 well plates. In addition to Micro, Nano & Liquid Handling, BM has developed a FLIP FLOP (FF) methodology that revolutionizes the washing and purification of samples.
